Justin Schwindel

NJ Diesel High School Program Director

Justin has been coaching with Trilogy for the past four years and is entering his 2nd year as the HS Program Director for the NJ Diesel Lacrosse Club.

Justin grew up in Livingston, NJ and began playing lacrosse in the 8th grade. At Livingston High School, he was a three-year varsity letter winner and two-year captain. Justin attended Montclair State University and was a 4-year letter winner as a long-stick midfielder. He holds a BA in History and also received his NJ Teaching Certification in Secondary Education.

Following his playing career, Justin began coaching at James Caldwell High School. He spent two seasons as the Head Junior Varsity/Assistant Varsity Coach. In 2008, Justin was named the Kimber Division Assistant Coach of the Year. Currently, Justin is the Varsity Assistant Coach/Defensive Coordinator at West Essex High School. During his time at West Essex, the program won an Essex County Championship (2009) and finished in the NJ Top 25 four times. Justin has helped develop numerous All-Conference, All-State, and All-American players who have gone on to play at the NCAA Division I, II, & III levels.

Justin is currently a Social Studies teacher at West Essex Middle School. In 2015, he was nominated by his peers for the Governor's Teacher of the Year Award. Along with his work with boys lacrosse program, Justin is also the Head Coach of the Middle School Girls Soccer team.

Justin currently resides in Hoboken, NJ with his wife Erin.
