A 2016 graduate of Amherst College with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Dan Annino is in his second season on the sidelines as the defensive coordinator for the Amherst College men's lacrosse program.
As a player, Annino was a four-year starter and cornerstone of the Mammoths' defense, earning New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-New England praise following his senior season. He concluded his playing career with a stat line that included 76 ground balls and 31 caused turnovers.
During his four years as a staple on the Mammoths’ back line, Annino directed an Amherst defense that posted a combined 10.34 goals against average and a 52-23 overall record. In that time, Amherst appeared in four consecutive NESCAC postseason tournaments, advancing to the championship contest in 2014 and 2015, including as the top seed in 2015. The team also appeared in three straight NCAA Championship tournament from 2014-2016 and advanced to the national quarterfinals in each of his last two seasons.
Annino joined the Mammoths’ coaching staff following a year as an investment banking analyst in New York, N.Y. at a firm specializing exclusively in the financial services sector.
