Girls Pre-Season Academy: Offense vs Defense

BASIC INFORMATION

Our Girls Pre-Season Academy will provide girls high school players with high-level, group-specific training from Mackenzie Maguire & her staff to prepare for their upcoming seasons. All positions will learn directly from some of the top experts in the game in a controlled setting so they are ready to go when practices officially begin.

• Dates: Wednesdays, March 10, 17, 24, 31
• Eligible Grad Years: 2021-2024
• Cost: $195
• Time:  4:30pm – 6:00pm

Spots will be limited to 12 offensive players and 12 defensive players to ensure maximum reps & personalized attention from our Director and staff.

What to Bring

• All players must have full equipment: Stick, goggles, mouth guard, and cleats
• Players should bring water or a sports drink to stay hydrated

CURRICULUM

Offensive Skills:

• Individual: Stickwork, Stick Protection, Shooting, Dodging, Ball-Handling
  
• Small Group IQ – Off-ball techniques, Man up and Man down Scenarios, Transition, 8M Positioning
  

Defensive Skills

• Individual: Footwork & Agility, Stick Positioning, Body Positioning, Approaches
• Small Group: Double Teams, Ball Tracking, Off-Ball Defense, Sliding, Covering Cutters, 1v1 Progressions, Communication
  

STAFF

CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations will be subject to a $50 fee, which goes towards operating expenses and planning costs. The remaining registration fees will be refunded to the participant.

In the event that the training must be cancelled due to COVID-19, participants will receive a $145 refund.

WEATHER POLICY

If the forecast predicts inclement weather, we may cancel a session. Should a cancellation occur due to inclement weather, we may reschedule the session for a later date or cancel the session and provide a partial refund.
