“Whether I am teaching someone new to the sport or the next All-American, I care about their personal development. I want them to walk away with a greater mental appreciation for the game and the physical awareness to execute new skills. I also want them to understand that you must have passion and work hard in order to succeed, regardless of the task in front of them.”

Widely regarded as one of the smartest players in the history of lacrosse, Ryan was one of the most dominant field generals in the sport. His uncanny understanding of the game and ability to elevate the play of his teammates enabled his teams to win championships at every level of play. He graduated from Princeton University with a BA in Psychology in 2004 and now dedicates his professional life to passing along the wisdom he has accrued to the next generation of players.

“Lacrosse has been a key part of my life for the last 20 years and has opened up countless opportunities for me. The leadership traits and teamwork lessons I learned at a young age from my lacrosse mentors both on and off the field have been invaluable throughout my career. I am excited to be part of an organization that teaches not only the right way to play the game, but focuses on developing well-rounded student athletes.”

Jimmy was born and raised in Shoreham, a town in Long Island, New York that has developed a strong lacrosse culture. Jimmy grew up playing lacrosse and eventually attended the United States Military Academy, where he was a 3-year starting attackman under the leadership of head coach Jack Emmer. Upon graduation, Jimmy began his service in the Army as a Field Artillery officer based out of Fort Hood, Texas. Over his military career, he served in various Field Artillery and Operations roles all over the globe.

After seven years of service, Jimmy left the Army and entered the NYU Stern School of Business where he completed their program and received his MBA in 2011. Following a passion of his, he started his career in education as a Business Operations Manager at Success Academy Charter Schools in New York City. After running the operations of a high performing elementary school in the Bronx, he moved onto a larger scale facilities and operations management role overseeing the day-to-day facilities management of all 22 schools within the Success Academy network.

A fun fact about Jimmy is that he and his father started the Faceoff Lacrosse Yearbook, an annual preseason preview magazine of the college lacrosse landscape. Jimmy and his father started the magazine in 1994 by cold calling college coaches for up to date information about their respective teams and their upcoming seasons. Jimmy was in charge of locating and organizing stats from previous seasons as well as writing previews for many colleges, a far more complicated task in 1994 than it is today.

Jimmy now lives in New Jersey with his wife Morgan and son Anthony.

“I am very fortunate to have found the game of lacrosse and even luckier to have had such great coaches and teammates. Some of the best moments of my life have happened either on a lacrosse field or because of the sport.

The game of lacrosse has given me a lot in life, so I am excited about the opportunity to join an organization focused on giving back to the sport and teaching the next generation of players the right way to play it. All of the coaches I had when I was growing up instilled in me a love and respect for the game that I hope to pass down to every young player I work with at Trilogy.”

Kevin didn’t pick up a lacrosse stick until the 8th grade and hasn’t put it down since. He was a two sport athlete in high school playing football and lacrosse. One great team followed another, and Kevin’s lacrosse season ended in the championship game for seven years straight. His championship record was 5-2, culminating with captaining the 2009 Division III National Championship team at SUNY Cortland. He graduated cum laude from SUNY Cortland in 2009 with a bachelor’s in Sport Management. He made the Deans List 5 of his 8 semesters.

After college, Kevin worked in the events industry planning charity fundraisers for professional athletes, as well as the on-site sponsor activation for a PGA golf tournament. Before joining Trilogy, he was planning events for a company in the optical industry. Kevin has been coaching at camps and clinics for over 15 years.

Kevin lives in Westfield, NJ with his wife, two sons, and dog.

“I am very thankful to have been introduced to the game of lacrosse by a family friend at a young age. It has given me a lot of great memories, teammates and friends over the years. Lacrosse involves different aspects from several sports and that is what made it so attractive to me. I was fortunate enough to play the sport in college and continue to enjoy coaching the game I love.

I am excited to join an organization focused on growing the sport of lacrosse. The entire lacrosse community is always looking for ways to grow the game and Trilogy has done that in various ways. Before joining the company, I had first-hand experience at a Trilogy Spring Break Training trip to Arizona and am excited to join the team.”

Andrew began playing lacrosse in 4th grade in Randolph, NJ. After the team needed a goalie and no one volunteered, Andrew gave it a shot and has played goalie ever since. He was a two-sport athlete at Newark Academy high school from 2005-2008 playing lacrosse and soccer. He was part of the soccer team that won the Non-Public B title his senior year. In lacrosse, he played goalie and was a member of the varsity team for three seasons, helping lead the team to the Essex County and Non-Public B semifinals his senior season. He then continued to Drew University from 2009-2013 where he started his senior year. After playing, Andrew coached the Chatham High School freshman lacrosse team in 2014 before returning to coach at his alma mater, Newark Academy, as a varsity assistant from 2015-19.

Andrew is joining the company after spending nine years at Sirius Satellite Radio as an associate producer on Mad Dog Sports Radio. He also works part time at CBS Sports and has previously worked at MLB Advanced Media, FOX Sports and AOL in various roles. Additionally, he wrote and conducted radio broadcasts for a lacrosse website titled In Lacrosse We Trust where he covered the MLL and NCAA.

“Lacrosse has always been a constant in my life no matter where in the world I have been. I have seen firsthand the ability of the game to bridge cultural divides and bring a group of strangers together as a community and turn into a family. Over the years I’ve also had the opportunity to play and grow the game around the globe in places such as Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore and China and am excited to see where it reaches next.

I am excited to join the Trilogy Lacrosse team to work with a group who shares the same love and vision for the game. I also look forward to growing and strengthening the lacrosse community through the variety of events and services Trilogy offers.”

Heeral began playing lacrosse in Somerset, New Jersey in 7th grade before his family moved to Pennsylvania. “When I was growing up, I did not have access to the best coaches. Much of what I know about lacrosse came from hard work, a passion for the game, and lots of trial and error. Now that I am a coach, my goal is to impart that same passion into each and every player I work with. I believe that with a love of the game and hard work, every player can improve, no matter what their skill level. Trilogy camps find a perfect balance between one on one tutoring, and full team coaching. At Trilogy I have the ability to not only work with players individually on the finer points of the game, but I can also help players through the more complex team concepts that are vital to becoming a successful teammate and a well rounded lacrosse player.”

Joe Banno arrived at Haverford College in 2009 as a freshmen goalie, and after an impressive fall ball performance, he earned the starting nod. Joe started all four years while at Haverford, leading the team to it’s first ever victory in a Centennial Conference Championship, and to two NCAA post-season appearances including a trip to the Quarterfinals. Joe was a three-time All-Centennial Conference player and a two-time All-American.

After graduating from Haverford, Joe entered the MLL when he was acquired by the Rochester Rattlers just before the start of the 2013 season. He saw he saw significant playing time in the first game of the season, registering 14 saves on only 5 goals against. From that point on Joe was a regular on the Rattlers’ game roster. At the start of the 2014 MLL season Joe joined the Chesapeake Bayhawks, where he was an active member of the practice squad. After graduating with a BA in History, Joe went on to become a middle school teacher. He has coaching experience at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels.

As a goalie, Joe has an in depth understanding of team defensive schemes and one-on-one defense, as well as an extensive knowledge of complex offensive sets. Joe’s knowledge of all aspects of the game enables him to work with players from all positions and skill levels.
