Trilogy’s Future Aces middle school camps help players develop the tools they need to pursue their dreams of playing college lacrosse. This Fall, Future Aces Tri-State attendee Justin Novak (Randolph, BBL) announced his commitment to play Division 1 lacrosse at Towson University, and we are fired up for the future Tiger.
Justin was a Future Aces Tri-State All-Star in 2022 and has continued to develop into a star defender at Randolph High School. He helped lead the team to the NJ Group 3 public state quarterfinals and was named to the NJ.com watchlist for Freshman/Sophomores in New Jersey.
We checked in with Justin after he announced his commitment to see how his time at the Future Aces helped prepare his pursuit to become a D1 student-athlete:
What was your favorite memory from the Future Aces?
Justin Novak: My favorite memory of the camp was being able to meet new people that I would later play with and against in club ball.
How do you think Future Aces helped prepare you as a lacrosse player?
JN: I think the Future Aces helped me develop as a lacrosse player by providing top level competition and great coaching.
Why did you choose Towson and what are you planning on studying/doing as a career?
JN: I chose Towson University because the campus was unbelievable when I first saw it. The coaches, players and other staff that I met welcomed me and showed me all the school has to offer.
What is a piece of advice you would have for anyone going through the college recruiting process and/or choosing to play in college?
JN: Something that helped me throughout the recruiting process was keeping my mind open to all colleges that showed interest. Another thing is making sure you like the school regardless of if you are playing lacrosse or not.
